Education Programs Assistant

 Part time : 25 hours per week

Reports to: Education Director

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for 3+ hours
  • Must be available some nights and weekends
  • Frequent local travel required

 

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for teachers and schools within Pewabic offsite programming
  • Coordinate school programs and schedules, as well as maintaining calendars
  • Coordinate offsite programs with Education Events Coordinator
  • Maintain communication from customers and instructors regarding Education Department Programming
  • Approve teaching artist created lesson plans and modify if needed to ensure quality program outcomes and grant requirements
  • Fill in as substitute youth programs instructor as needed
  • Perform administrative tasks as requested; including but not limited to: timely preparation of teacher scheduling, submission of invoices, teacher payments, completing site contracts, recording of expenditures
  • Work with Education Director to ensure that quality and financial grant requirements are met and prepare grant reports and proposals as needed
  • Help to maintain calendar for offsite programs
