Education Studio Technician

Workshops & Events

Part time : 20-30 hours per week

Reports to: Education Studio Manager



  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for 3+ hours
  • Must be available nights and weekends
  • Must have reliable transportation



  • Primarily maintain firings for on and offsite Workshop Studio work
  • Maintain Workshop Studio space and reorganize as needed
  • Package on and offsite children’s work and workshop pieces
  • Coordinate with Studio Technician on maintaining glaze levels, and mixing and testing Cone 6 glazes as needed
  • Reinforce general studio organization and cleanliness
  • Help Studio Technician with maintaining organization on kiln pad and upstairs kiln room
  • Attend on and offsite events and activities
  • Maintain terra cotta recycling process
  • Maintain children’s programming supplies under stairs
  • Work with Education staff to create learning resources for Children’s Studio
  • Create tiles and other projects needed for on and offsite workshops
  • Assist Studio Technician to maintain and stock studio materials
  • Other projects and events as needed
