Introducing the PEWABIC STRATTON TILE Collection™
The Pewabic Stratton Tile Collection™ is a special line of handcrafted tile and trim pieces designed to meet the needs of designers, homeowners, remodelers and renovators who want to avoid the longer wait required for custom orders.

Pewabic Stratton tiles are fabricated using traditional tile-making methods at historic Pewabic Pottery, but their immediate availability* makes them ideal for the "do-it-yourself" homeowner who wants to purchase tiles from our showroom and install them without delay.

Pewabic Stratton tiles and trim are the perfect choice for kitchen counters and backsplashes, fireplace surrounds and hearths, chair rails, bathroom floors and walls, and in entry foyers.

Complementing both traditional and contemporary design schemes, they can be combined with stone, wood or commercial ceramic tile. In outdoor settings, they may be used for fountains, patios, tables, benches and walls.

Fabricated from our own stoneware clay body and finished in historic glazes, Pewabic Stratton tiles and trim are both durable and beautiful. Slight color variations within each glaze are a desirable characteristic seen in hand-made tiles from Pewabic Pottery.

Field tiles measuring 3"x3" or 4"x4" are available in eight glazes, including: French Blue, Ochre, Ivory, Satin Black, Moss, Pewabic Blue/Green, Speckled Seafoam and Wheat.

Border and corner trim pieces are available in corresponding glazes and a variety of patterns. Embossed tiles which complement border and trim pieces can be used randomly to create an interesting focal point.

*Availability may vary based on quantity.

    Tips for "Do-It-Yourself" Tile Installers
Before you begin, carefully measure the area where you plan to install your tiles.

    • Use a "brown paper" template, indicating the area you intend to cover with tile. Bring this helpful tool with you when you select your tiles, and use it to help you estimate the quantity of tiles and trim pieces needed to complete your project. Be sure to allow spacing for grout lines. (We recommend at least ¼" grout line between tiles).
    • Try out a particular color scheme in your home. Samples purchased for this reason are returnable for a full refund within 30 days of purchase with an original sales receipt.
    • Try creating your own design. Templates and samples are available in our Design Studio. Before you select your tiles, try creating your own pattern using one of several templates and combinations available for your use in our design showroom.
    • Need further design assistance? Pewabic designers can help you. Our in-house designers are available Monday through Saturday by appointment. Appointments may be scheduled by calling (313) 822-0954 Extension 103. The fee for design service is $65 per hour.
    • For installation supplies, check with a home center in your area to purchase the standard materials (mastic, grout, sealer etc.) you will need.
    • Clean with mild soapy water. Grout cleanser can periodically be used, but be sure it leaves no slippery residue on the tile surfaces. With routine and simple care, your tile installation will provide years of enjoyment.
    • Pewabic tile can be shipped anywhere in the U.S., via UPS or truck freight.
