You’ll find that working with the Pewabic Design Studio is an act of discovery. Our designers share their knowledge and expertise in a way that helps you explore and express your creativity through stunning tile designs. We will work with you to create a design that reflects your personal vision.
How does Pewabic work with homeowners and trade professionals?
During a complementary initial 1 hour design consultation, a Pewabic designer will work with you one-on-one to help define your needs and explore our offerings to create a design that transforms your space. Additional design consultations are available at $125 per hour. Offsite meetings are also available at your location, starting at $200 per hour.
What should I bring to my first meeting?
Please provide as much information as you can about the area you wish to tile. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Samples of flooring, countertops, fabrics, etc.
- Blueprints and/or architectural drawings with dimensions
- Installation deadline
Please make sure to mention all personal deadlines and event dates during your initial consultation so we can discuss lead times. You’ll leave this first meeting with a good understanding of the design process and production time requirements of your project.
Can I obtain samples or Pewabic field tiles and decorative tiles?
We’re happy to provide 3”×3” field tile samples. Special order samples are available for purchase (these require a 3-4 week wait). We’re happy to ship samples to you – we simply ask that you pay for shipping.
When can I see my design?
You can expect to receive an initial computer aided drawing (CAD) of your project within two to three weeks after signing the design agreement. These drawings may also include additional design options and/or colored sketches or renderings. If you decide to proceed with your project, additional meetings and design services may be required in order to finalize all details.
When does fabrication begin?
Once you’re satisfied with your project proposal and all design details have been finalized, we can start fabricating your order. To begin production of your project, we’ll need:
- A signed production agreement
- A 50% deposit for orders over $1000; a payment in full for orders less than $1000.
- Your signed approval of all design specifications
How long will the fabrication of my project take?
Lead times vary from 10-16 weeks depending on quantity and complexity of the project. We’ll provide you with a completion date for your project once your order has moved into production. You will receive an update on the progress of your order midway through the fabrication process. All tile orders are produced on a first-in, first-out basis.
What if I need to make changes?
Once your contract has been signed, changes to your project will be treated as a separate order and will add to your delivery time. A new contract may be required for changes and additions.
Completion of your order
Once your order is complete, you will receive a courtesy phone call. You can choose to pick up your order or have it shipped. At this time, any remaining balances and shipping charges are due. Shipping charges are not calculated until your job is complete.
