Penn Theatre, the clock tower and other Plymouth landmarks are captured in time in a new custom Pewabic mural at Plymouth District Library.
The library welcomes visitors to experience the mural’s installation, slated to take place during library hours Aug. 16-17 and to come back to celebrate the new mural with a reception 6-7 p.m. Aug. 22.
Following the reception, Pewabic Archivist Kimmie Dobos will speak about Pewabic’s history, and take guests on a virtual tour through the historic pottery building as well as share highlights from the making of the Plymouth mural. Author Cara Catallo will also be on hand to sign copies of Pewabic Pottery, a History Handcrafted in Detroit, published in July.
