  • Pewabic Pottery's guided group tours offer participants an insider's view of the Pottery. Here are answers to commonly asked questions.

Do I need to schedule a group tour?
Yes! Please call (313) 822-0954 to schedule your tour. Information we need is attached to the bottom of this page. Tours are scheduled from 10:00a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00p.m. to 3:30p.m. and last approximately one hour.

How large does my group need to be?
Twenty participants is the minimum. Tours are suitable for children ages 12 years and older. Younger children appreciate a more interactive visit so we suggest a Pewabic Workshop.

    Where is Pewabic located?
The Pottery is located at 10125 E. Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, MI across from Waterworks Park and exactly 1.5 miles east of the Belle Isle Bridge. The nearest cross street is Cadillac Boulevard heading east from Downtown Detroit.

How much does a tour cost?
Each participant will be charged $3.00, there is a minimum of 20 people or $60.00, payable on the day of your tour. Free self-guided tours are available without scheduling.

What will we see on our tour?
Pewabic staff and docents will discuss the Pottery's history and Museum, Fabrication Studio, various galleries and Education Studio. Demonstrations are frequently available.
