    The next room is the Gallery of Studio Artists. This space features works for sale by over 60 North American ceramicists, highlighting a broad variety of styles and techniques in high-quality wares.

    Up the front stairs, you will find our Museum, featuring the permanent exhibit Journey of a Pioneering Spirit: the Life of Mary Chase Perry Stratton.

    Kiln Room

    The Kiln Room is where Mary Stratton fired her famous glazes. Today, this room houses two manually-operated car kilns as well as our computerized Blaauw kiln.

    Clay Making

    In the Clay Making area, we make our own unique stoneware- about 1500 lbs every week! The belt-driven equipment we use today is original to the building, and is the very same equipment used by Mary Stratton in the early 20th century.

    We mix and apply all of our unique Arts & Crafts era glazes, including our signature iridescent glazes, in the Glaze area.

    In the Tile Pressing area, our artisans create the tiles you see in our Museum Store as well as those used in installations.
