Kenyon Hansen is a full-time studio potter from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He has been an artist-in-residence at the Archie Bray Foundation and has taught at Haystack Mouth School of Crafts and Greenwich House Pottery in New York City.
Hansen believes that finely crafted, thoroughly made pottery can contribute to a renaissance of tradition and habit. Clay allows him to play with physical language. Hansen strives to create pottery that is balanced, having a healthy dose of spirit and care.
