Brian Caponi | Saggar/Form Series: Variation #6

Brian Caponi is a sculpture artist and art educator working in San Jose, Califonia and Jingdezhen, China. He received his MFA in Ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He also holds a BFA in Sculpture from Grand Valley State University.

Of his work, he says “The work doesn’t sit solely in one category or another, but tends to exist around that blurry moment where one dissolves into the next; a potent tran- sition, like the subtle shift between interior and exterior, utterance and articulation, presence and longing.”

Saggar/Form Series: Variation #6 is a striking vessel that is structurally captivating and rich and texture.
