In Cassidee Downs’ own words:

I am originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan but I have called Detroit my home for over 10 years now. I am a graduate from Wayne State University with a BA in Psychology and obtained a Ceramics Technology certification from Oakland Community College.

I have loved working with clay since a teen and became completely inspired by the medium itself and how many possibilities it can offer when I work with it. l value experimentation and how much clay teaches me different things on a daily basis. I consider my work to be playful, colorful, & functional. My hope is that it sparks a little of joy in your day when you interact with my art :)
