Saturday AM  Beginner Wheel

Saturdays from 10am - 1pm

Instructor: Erin Mae

Session I: March 22 - May 10 (8-week course)

Students who have never thrown before or have only rudimentary throwing skills will learn centering, pulling up forms, cylinders, cups, and bowls. Basic glazing techniques will be covered in this class taught by Education Studio Technician, Erin Mae.

Who should take this class?

This class is best suited for adults (18+) who have never wheel-thrown before or would like a refresher on their fundamentals! 

Class includes: 

  • 3 hours of weekly instruction (during scheduled class time)

  • Glazes, slips, underglazes, and firings 

  • A small studio shelf

  • The first 25 pounds of clay

  • 3 Weekly Open Studio Opportunities (schedule posted) 

Please note: This purchase is not transferable. No refund will be issued during the first week of classes. Pewabic Education Studio is under no obligation to reschedule classes canceled upon the closure of the facility due to inclement weather, power outages, misunderstanding of the schedule, Covid shutdown, and/or personal schedule conflicts. There is no guarantee that a make-up class will be offered. Classes will not be prorated to accommodate a missed class, nor will refunds be issued.
