Chris Baskin resides in Portland, Oregon. Baskin grew up in Georgia and has experienced life all over the United States. He built a ceramics program in New York and has been known to climb mountains to dig his own clay bodies.
Baskin wants his work to possess two main qualities; utility and accessibility. He finds that "beauty is a way for me to connect across time and cultures". With these precepts in mind, he hopes that his art can connect you to a tradition that has spanned the world.
