William Brouillard began working with clay at the State University of Wisconsin. After his service in the armed forces, he began studying with Don Reitz at The University of Wisconsin, Madison. He completed his MFA at Alfred University in 1976, traveling to North Carolina to become a resident craftsman at the Penland School.
Brouillard describes his work as "uniformly eclectic"–– striving to explore uncharted territory in both his wood and clay work. Brouillard's expertise and over 30 years of experience in this medium are evident in these beautifully handcrafted leaf-motif plates.
