Because the original studio could only be entered from a loading dock (number 6, to be exact), the potters aptly agreed to name themselves Dock 6 Pottery. Since then, the studio has moved several times and the four potters have gone their separate ways, but the name has stuck.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese days, Dock 6 employs between 30 and 40 people at any given time: a team of extraordinarily skilled potters—as well as musicians, actors, photographers, jewelers, fashion designers, glass blowers, painters, and graphic designers—contribute their expertise in countless ways to bolster the success and productivity Dock 6 has enjoyed over many years.
