Extended Moderne | Limited Edition Copper Glaze - Auction

Our Extended Moderne was designed as a grander version of our Moderne, featuring a modern form with clean lines and a unique shape.

Pewabic's Master Vessel Maker, Nicole Marocco, created this wheel-thrown vase. Glaze Development Specialist Alex Thullen has been experimenting with new iridescent formulations, including this luminous Copper glaze. This is the first piece of its kind in existence.

Many consider the Iridescent glaze to be Pewabic's most important contribution to ceramic art. Through trial, error, and sheer persistence, Mary Chase Perry Stratton developed her first successful Iridescent glaze in 1906. Establishing the formula and stabilizing the firing process took another three years.

  • 13" x 12" x 12"
  • NOTE: This is the only item of its kind available
  • Do not put plant food in these vessels due to the soft nature of the glaze
