Monday PM Beginner Handbuilding

Mondays from 6pm-9pm 

Instructor: Ryan Gumbleton 

Session 2: February 26-April 15 (8-week course)

In this class taught by Pewabic Kiln Technician, Ryan Gumbleton, students who have never handbuilt before or have only rudimentary skills will learn to make ceramics with coil, slabs, and pinching. Basic glazing techniques will be covered.

Who should take this class?: This class is best suited for adults (18+) who have never handbuilt before or would like a refresher on their fundamentals!

Included in your class: 

• 3 hours in the studio (during scheduled class time)
• Glazes, slips, underglazes, and firings 
• A small studio shelf
• Open studio opportunities
• The first 25 pounds of clay

Open Studio Hours Session 2 through sign up system only:

Mondays:  2-5pm

Tuesdays: 2-5pm

Wednesdays: 10am-1pm

Thursdays: 6-9pm

Friday-Saturday: 2-5pm

Please note: No cash refunds will be issued during the first week of classes. Pewabic Education Studio is under no obligation to reschedule classes that are canceled upon the closure of the facility due to inclement weather, power outages, misunderstanding of schedule, Covid shutdown, and/or personal schedule. There is no guarantee that a make-up class will be offered. Classes will not be prorated to accommodate a missed class, nor will refunds be issued.
