Thursday AM Ceramic Jewelry Design
Thursdays from 10am-1pm

Session 1: January 4-February 29 (8-week course)
Bring your tools, sketchbook, and your favorite pen as we dive into the world of jewelry design. Take inspiration from your ceramics practice to develop unique pieces of wearable art in the form of earrings, necklaces, pins, and more. Learn about finishing techniques and methods for incorporating other mediums into your ceramic jewelry designs. Taught by Pewabic Marketing Director, Amanda Rogers, (BFA in Fibers & Textiles & Sustainable Design from Finlandia University).
Who should take this class?: This class is for returning Pewabic Education Studio students only. No previous jewelry-making experience is required. Students will be responsible for purchasing non-ceramic materials and tools required to finish their jewelry designs.
Included in your class:
- 3 hours in the studio (during scheduled class time)
- Glazes, slips, underglazes, and firings
- A small studio shelf
- Open studio opportunities
- The first 25 pounds of clay
Open Studio Hours Session 1 through sign up system only:
Mondays: 10am-1pm and 2-5pm
Tuesdays: 2-5pm
Thursdays: 6-9pm
Friday-Saturday: 2-5pm
Please note: No cash refunds will be issued during the first week of classes. Pewabic Education Studio is under no obligation to reschedule classes that are canceled upon the closure of the facility due to inclement weather, power outages, misunderstanding of schedule, Covid shutdown, and/or personal schedule. There is no guarantee that a make-up class will be offered. Classes will not be prorated to accommodate a missed class, nor will refunds be issued.
