Tuesday AM Intermediate Handbuilding
Tuesdays from 10am-1pm

Session 1: January 2-February 20 (8-week course)
In this class, taught by local artist, Katie Bramlage, students will learn more advanced techniques and surface treatments within handbuilding. Students must have a basic understanding of handbuilding including: slab and coil building and basic glazing techniques. This class is only suited for students with previous beginner level class experience.
Who should take this class?: This class is best suited for adults (18+) familiar with coil, slab, and pinch construction. Students enrolled in this class should also understand glaze, slip, and underglaze. The basics will not be covered in this course.
Included in your class:
- 3 hours in the studio (during scheduled class time)
- Glazes, slips, underglazes, and firings
- A small studio shelf
- Open studio opportunities
- The first 25 pounds of clay
Open Studio Hours Session 1 through sign up system only:
Mondays: 10am-1pm and 2-5pm
Tuesdays: 2-5pm
Thursdays: 6-9pm
Friday-Saturday: 2-5pm
Please note: No cash refunds will be issued during the first week of classes. Pewabic Education Studio is under no obligation to reschedule classes that are canceled upon the closure of the facility due to inclement weather, power outages, misunderstanding of schedule, Covid shutdown, and/or personal schedule. There is no guarantee that a make-up class will be offered. Classes will not be prorated to accommodate a missed class, nor will refunds be issued.
