Wednesday AM Beginner Wheel
Wednesdays from 10am-1pm
Instructor: Kayla Kirk
Session 1: January 3-February 28 (8 week course)
In this class taught by Pewabc Vessel Technician, Kayla Kirk, students who have never wheel thrown before or have only rudimentary throwing skills will learn centering, pulling up forms, and how to create cylinders, cups, and bowls. Basic glazing techniques will be covered.
Who should take this class?: This class is best suited for adults (18+) who have never thrown before or would like a refresher on their fundamentals!
Included in your class:
- 3 hours in the studio (during scheduled class time)
- Glazes, slips, underglazes, and firings
- A small studio shelf
- Open studio opportunities
- The first 25 pounds of clay
Open Studio Hours Session 1 through sign up system only:
Mondays: 10am-1pm and 2-5pm
Tuesdays: 2-5pm
Thursdays: 6-9pm
Friday-Saturday: 2-5pm
Please note: No cash refunds will be issued during the first week of classes. Pewabic Education Studio is under no obligation to reschedule classes that are canceled upon the closure of the facility due to inclement weather, power outages, misunderstanding of schedule, Covid shutdown, and/or personal schedule. There is no guarantee that a make-up class will be offered. Classes will not be prorated to accommodate a missed class, nor will refunds be issued.
