This silver metallic sculpture is a long necked creature with soft features similar to a rabbit. The creature has two sets of gentle ears and its long, curvy neck comes from a slightly wider rounded base.

José is a Mexican ceramics artist based in the Detroit Metro Area. He received his BFA in Drawing from New Mexico State University in 2015 and his MFA in Ceramics from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2018. His work comes from the contradiction of the concealment of his queer identity and his desire for visibility. His work has recently been presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Cranbrook Art Museum and David Salkin Creative.
