Explore Detroit's National Historic Landmark pottery! Dive into the the art of ceramics, shop Pewabic ceramics and art by over 30 artists, and tour through the second floor Pewabic Museum for a look into over 120 years of handcrafting Pewabic pottery and tiles.

Admission to the store and museum is free and open to the public Tuesday - Friday 10am - 5pm. Free onsite parking is available. A ramp to enter the historic building is available. Just call 313-626-2010 upon arrival. We look forward to seeing you!

tile glazing workshops

During these 1-hour workshops, participants choose one of 3 tile designs and learn how to glaze in the same way as our fabrication team.

Once fired, tiles will be ready for pick up at a later date. Workshops are reserved for individuals 18 years of age and older.

Get ready to have clay up to your elbows and dive into one of our 8 week classes. Classes focus on wheel throwing, hand building, tile making, glazing, and a variety of specialty topics. Explore our current class catalog and register for classes online.

Bring the excitement of ceramics and the Pewabic experience to your space. Our Pewabic Street Team can come to your school, business, community space, or private event. From History Talks to Clay City and Tile Glazing Workshops, the Pewabic Street Team offers customized ceramics programing for any age level.
