We are celebrating 150 years since the birth of our founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton and her legacy with a day of activities at the historic Pewabic Pottery. Join us for a free tour of this historic landmark, birthday cake, a brand new historic exhibition, demos in our production space, and activities for the whole family!

Saturday, April 8th 10 am – 6 pm


Cake available starting at 11 am, until it is gone.

Mary Stratton: Artist, Educator, Innovator. New historic exhibition opens and is on view all day.

Explore our Spring Collection of ceramic giftware in the store and participate in free activities for the whole family. Coloring pages and tile rubbings available.

Pewabic gift cards will be raffled off each hour, on the hour, starting at 11am.

10:30 – 5:30 Pewabic architectural tile designer, David McGee will be available in the tile showroom to answer your questions about our architectural tiles.

10:30  – 12   Wheel throwing demos by our Education Team

12 pm – 1     Free Docent Lead Tour & Production Demos

1 pm – 2       Curator’s talk with Kimmie Dobos, Pewabic Archivist, about the new historic exhibition. Q & A session immediately following.

2pm – 3         Free Docent Lead Tours & Production Demos

3:30 pm        Special presentation by designer David McGee on historic Pewabic installations by Mary and how they have inspired the installations made today.

5 pm             Last Raffle called of the day! Be sure to arrive before 5 to enter this final drawing.

6 pm             The pottery closes. We are open 7 days a week, please visit Pewabic again soon!
