Designed by Pewabic artist Azucena Nava-Moreno, this Fox Tile is part of a collection of hand-sculpted tiles celebrating Detroit wildlife. From Belle Isle to downtown, red foxes have been spotted all across the city. Detroit’s prairie-like empty lots have proven to be a safe haven for them, allowing foxes to thrive amongst their human neighbors. With her appreciation for nature and love of sculpting clay, Nava-Moreno has created a fitting tribute to this beautiful Detroit creature.
