Downtown Walking Tour 5/8/2025 | 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Join us for an exciting deep dive into our archives on this tour of Pewabic tiles in the wild. In this approximately 2-hour, Tile Installation Walking Tour, participants will explore Detroit’s Downtown with the Pewabic Education Team. Participants will visit 5 sites containing contemporary and historic Pewabic tile installations. Learn about how the tiles were made, who had them made and who created them!
Note: This is a walking tour and all of the tour will be conducted outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather. We will be walking approximately 1 mile on mostly level terrain. All of the People Mover stations do have elevators, however, we cannot guarantee that they will be in service at the time of the tour. Most of the tour will take place riding the People Mover. Please keep in mind that we will be riding with the general public.
Tour dates are nontransferable. Pewabic will not issue a cash refund within 48 hours of the walking tour. Failure to attend a registered tour will result in a forfeit of tuition. Pewabic is under no obligation to reschedule walking tours that are canceled upon the closure of the facility due to inclement weather, power outages, or Covid shut down, –in these cases, a refund will be issued.
