BKB Ceramics focuses on pure, sustainable, conscious, handcrafted design. From his home studio in Joshua Tree, Brian Bosworth utilizes many techniques in his work, using rock or Styrofoam casts, a potter's wheel, and hand-construction techniques.
These mugs are wheel-thrown using speckled buff clay. The design is taped off individually by hand and dipped in creamy white oatmeal glaze. The finished mug boasts a striking contrast between the raw clay and glaze that reveals the nuance of the firing process. Each piece is unique and will have slight variations.
