Microcosm Ceramics was founded by Mary Drabik. She has been working in clay for over 20 years, primarily using a high fire porcelain clay. In Drabik's words "Porcelain reminds me of clouds and marshmallows when I’m working with it and that works beautifully with my drawings & patterns."
Each piece is created by hand, starting with a ball of clay it is transformed into forms by pinching the clay between her fingers. Drabik designs each piece, makes, decorates, glazes, and fires all of her ceramics.
