Monday PM Beginner Wheel Throwing
Mondays from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Instructor: Jaren Bryson
Session I: May 12-June 23 (6-week class) Prorated for Memorial Day
This course led by local artist, Jaren Bryson, is designed for beginners or those with limited experience on the wheel. Students will focus on mastering the foundational skills of wheel throwing, including centering, pulling up forms, and creating cylinders, cups, and bowls. Basic glazing techniques will also be covered.
Who Should Take This Class?
This class is ideal for adults (18+) who have never worked on a pottery wheel or who want to revisit and strengthen their fundamental skills. Note: Advanced techniques will not be covered in this course.

3 hours of weekly instruction

Access to a variety of materials, including glazes, slips, and underglazes

Kiln firings

A small personal studio shelf

The first 25 pounds of clay

3 weekly open studio sessions (schedule will be posted in advance)

The class is non-transferable, and no refunds will be issued after the first week of classes.

Pewabic Education Studio is not responsible for rescheduling classes due to facility closures caused by inclement weather, power outages, CDC health shutdowns, schedule misunderstandings, or personal scheduling conflicts.

Make-up classes are not guaranteed, and classes will not be prorated for missed sessions.
