This Rhododendron Tile was designed by Ceramic Material Engineer Alex Thullen and released in 2011. Thullen drew inspiration from the leaded glass designs of the Arts & Crafts era, a nod to Pewabic’s idealistic and artistic founding. This perfectly symmetrical design melds the soft, rounded flowers with the wide, orderly leaves below.

Today, this tile reminds us of the rhododendrons that bloom every spring in the garden in front of our historic pottery.
