Exhibition ReceptionFriday, September, 18 2015
6:30 pm–8:30 pm
The exhibit will feature the work of Blair Clemo & Blake J. Williams. Blair Clemo’s wheel-thrown and press molded works reference the extravagance present in the European Decorative Arts as interpreted through a contemporary studio practice.
Memory, identity, and the relationship between tangible and intangible aspects of objects are recurrent themes in Williams’ works. Both Clemo and Williams explore the relationships between material and value, making and meaning, utility and ornament.
