Travis Sudweeks began Rose Line Pottery while living in Salt Lake City after taking a community pottery class with his wife. Drawn to old-world skills and trades, the ceramic medium allows him to keep traditional hand crafted skill alive while creating functional artwork. Each piece is wheel-thrown, trimmed, finished, and dip glazed at his current Dover-Foxcroft village studio in Maine. The making of each item entails a variety of individual workings and processes to complete and each hand-crafted step adds individual charm. All Rose Line Pottery pieces are made with regionally sourced high quality stoneware and hand-mixed glazes.
