Classic Bud Vase | Rose Quartz

All of our Classic Vases are individually handcrafted by Pewabic artisans, continuing our long tradition of wheel-thrown, stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces. Because each piece is made by hand, some variation in height, width, and form is expected.

In the early days of Pewabic, founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton sketched shapes for her vessel thrower, Joseph Heerich, to throw on the wheel. Stratton would then apply slip or other decorative applications to the surface, much like the Classic Vase finish.

Rose Quartz

This glossy Rose Quartz glaze came from a happy accident. This holiday season, a kiln-load of anticipated Winterberry-glazed vessels misfired, creating this multidimensional color that features hints of pale pink, pale gray, and white flashing.
