This stylized butterfly tile was inspired by the intricate patterns characteristic of leaded glass.
Pewabic Ceramic Materials Engineer Alex Thullen took inspiration from both the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau styles when designing this piece. Butterflies were a popular design motif during these periods, as artists appreciated their delicate wings and perfect symmetry.
