Saarinen Scarab Fireplace

This impressive three-sided brick fireplace extends to a wood vaulted ceiling and features striking glazes alongside Iridescent tile accents. One of our Iridescent Scarab designs is prominently featured as part of the installation.

Now residing in a 1955 mid-century modern ranch in Bloomfield Hills, this design incorporates elements of the notable Eliel Saarinen Fireplace comprised of Pewabic Tile which is located at the heart of Cranbrook Academy of Art.

Our clients have deep roots to Cranbrook and wanted their fireplace to celebrate that connection. We love the finishing touches that make this design so personal and completely unique.

Glazes Used: Laurel, Charcoal, Smoke, and Aurora Iridescent
