Pewabic co-founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton played a significant role in the development of the ceramics programs at what is now the College of Creative Studies, Wayne State University and the University of Michigan, along with a role in the ceramics program of Cranbrook Academy of Art, and numerous Pewabic installations throughout Cranbrook's campus. 

In the spirit of her dedication to education and her commitment to innovation and presenting the work of other ceramic artists, Inspired features the work of Ebitenyefa Baralaye, College for Creative Studies; Susan Crowell, University of Michigan; Jessika Edgar, Wayne State University; and Ian McDonald, Cranbrook Academy of Art.
