Our 3x3 Lion Tile was crafted to emulate historic line-drawn animal tiles created by our co-founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton. She used similar whimsical tiles in private and public installations - from fireplaces in elementary schools to nurseries in Detroit area homes.
This tile is set in a quarter-sawn oak frame made by Family Woodworks out of Piketon, Ohio.

- Handcrafted in Detroit
- Individually hand-pressed in our own stoneware and glazed by Pewabic artisans
