Owned and managed by Sean Forest Roberts, Forest Ceramic Company is run by a tiny team of artists and studio assistants.

With a background in chemistry and four years of work experience in science labs, Sean brings an experimental mindset to the studio.  The basis of the process they currently use began with Sean's experimentation 9 years ago with marbling, layering, and carving colored slips.  Colored liquid clays are mixed and poured to create the vast array of patterns available in their designs. 

He is fascinated by the underlying randomness in patterns and structures of nature, and attempts to replicate some of those effects in his work, which is constantly changing as Forest Ceramic Co. explores new ways of creating pattern, texture, and form.
