Individuals interested in registering for Intermediate and Advanced classes, as well as intensives, must apply.

If you have been approved for Spring/Summer registration, register for your class or intensive now.
Our Education Team will review all applications and decide admittance based on the following criteria:
- Previous experience working in Pewabic's Education Studio.
- Prospective students' skill level. These courses are reserved for those who consider themselves intermediate and/or advanced in their ceramic practice.
- Prospective students will be required to select the class or intensive they would like to apply for within the application and briefly describe why they are interested in taking the class or intensive.

UPCOMING SPRING/SUMMER INTENSIVES:
Intensive Session 1 - Finish & Fire | 4-week intensive
Surface as Narrative through Figurative Decoration
Saturdays, 10:30 AM-1:30 PM
Instructor: Emily WoodÂ
Intensive Session 1: May 2 - May 23
In this 4-week intensive led by local artist Emily Wood, students will learn various techniques to express themselves through surface design, including both low-fire and high-fire strategies. By the end, students will be able to communicate using slip-carving and application, fine underglaze painting, and image transfer and stamping. We will also cover overglaze to maintain image integrity and food safety.
Who Can Take This Intensive? This intensive is designed for adult students (18+) who have prior clay experience and would like to learn enhancements for their surfaces.
Intensive Session 2 -Form & Function | 4-week intensive
Nerikomi-Building Pattern Through Colored Clay
Saturdays, 10:30 AM-1:30 PM
Instructor: Beth MikosÂ
Intensive Session 2: May 30 - June 20
Local artist Beth Mikos leads this 4-week intensive exploring nerikomi techniques with colored porcelain. Students will learn how to prepare and layer colored clay to create patterns that run throughout the clay body rather than just on the surface. Through demonstrations and guided practice, participants will develop simple forms that highlight these distinctive patterning methods.
Who Should Take This Class? Adults (18+) with a few clay classes under their belt will have the best experience in this intensive. This course requires application placement.
