Set in a reclaimed wood frame by Mutual Adoration, this Fox Tile was designed by Pewabic artist Azucena Nava-Moreno as part of a collection of hand-sculpted tiles celebrating Detroit wildlife. From Belle Isle to downtown, red foxes have been spotted all across the city. Detroit’s prairie-like empty lots have proven to be a safe haven for them, allowing foxes to thrive amongst their human neighbors. With her appreciation for nature and love of sculpting clay, Nava-Moreno has created a fitting tribute to this beautiful Detroit creature.

MUTUAL ADORATION

Mutual Adoration specializes in frames, furniture, and housewares made from hardwoods salvaged from buildings throughout Detroit. Each frame is one of a kind and features the character marks from the wood's former life. Mutual Adoration celebrates that story by highlighting the knots, screw holes, and other character marks in their handcrafted frames.
