Session II: October 31 – December 12 (7-week course)

Course Overview:
In this course, students explore foundational mold-making and slip-casting techniques with Pewabic’s Slip Casting and Tile Technician, Josh Kochis. Students will learn basic model design, one and two-part molds, and slip casting of multiple forms.

Who Should Take This Class?
Recommended for adults (18+) with basic ceramics experience and familiarity with one‑part mold-making.

  • 3 hours of weekly instruction
  • Access to glazes, slips, and underglazes
  • Kiln firings
  • Small, personal studio shelf
  • First 25 lbs. of clay 
  • 3 weekly open-studio sessions (schedule posted in advance)

The class is non-transferable, and no refunds will be issued after the first week of classes. Pewabic Education Studio is not responsible for rescheduling classes due to inclement weather, power outages, CDC-related shutdowns, schedule misunderstandings, or personal conflicts.
