Monday PM Beginner Handbuilding - Session I
Mondays from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Session I: September 8 – October 20 (7-week course, prorated for Labor Day)
Course Overview:
In this beginner-level course, taught by Pewabic Kiln Technician Ryan Gumbleton, students will learn essential handbuilding techniques— including creating pinch pots, coils, and slabs—as well as basic glazing methods. Intermediate and advanced techniques will not be covered.
Who Should Take This Class?
Recommended for adults (18+) new to handbuilding or looking to review foundational skills.
What’s Included:
- 3 hours of weekly instruction
- Access to glazes, slips, and underglazes
- Kiln firings
- Small, personal studio shelf
- First 25 lbs. of clay
- 3 weekly open-studio sessions (schedule posted in advance)
Important Information:
The class is non-transferable, and no refunds will be issued after the first week of classes. Pewabic Education Studio is not responsible for rescheduling classes due to inclement weather, power outages, CDC-related shutdowns, schedule misunderstandings, or personal conflicts.
