Have dreams of becoming a potter, or even just getting your hands in clay? Make those dreams a reality in our Education Studio. Our experienced instructors, small class sizes, and studio space provide the know-how you need to make your own ceramic works of art. Generous open studio hours allow students to hone newly acquired skills and finish projects.
We offer classes and workshops for first-time students as well as advanced artists to explore wheel-throwing, hand-building, tile-making, mold-making, and various specialty classes.
Most classes are appropriate for all skill levels. Free open studio time and 25 lbs of stoneware clay included with each 8-week class. Open studio privileges are only during weeks classes are in session. Basic ceramic tool kit (available in the Pewabic Store) and one gallon bucket (available at most hardware stores) are required for each throwing class.
Classes are 10 AM-1 PM or 6-9 PM, except where otherwise indicated. Daytime classes are reserved for students age 15
and older. Evening classes are reserved for students 18 and older.
